Quarterbacks be aware, Penn State has some monsters on defense in 2019.

Each year, Bruce Feldman of The Athletic puts together his list of the top 10 athletic freaks in college football.

This year, Penn State has not one but two players on that list.

The first player listed is sophomore linebacker Micah Parsons. Parsons, a five-star recruit who played immediately last year, went by the nickname “The Waterboy” in high school and it isn’t hard to see why.

He played running back, wide receiver, linebacker and defensive end in high school and last year there was talk that he could play defensive end or linebacker for Penn State.

Not only did he end up playing linebacker as a freshman, the 6-foot-3, 245-pound stud out of Harrisburg (PA) led the team in tackles despite starting just one game.

Feldman ranked Parsons as the No. 7 most athletic freak in the country.

Ranked right ahead of him at No. 6 is redshirt freshman defensive end Jayson Oweh , a four-star recruit in the class of 2018.

Oweh ’s testing numbers at 6-foot-5, 256 pounds are the thing of legends. He’s run a 4.33 40-yard dash, posted a 36.5 inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-7-inch broad jump. His max bench is 380 pounds and his max clean is 365.

Oweh, who’s only just scratching the surface of his on-field ability, appeared in just four games in 2018 to preserve his redshirt status, is an obvious breakout candidate for 2019 and it would be a shock to most if he actually used all four years of eligibility.
