Just 47 more days until the Nittany Lions hit the field!

We’ve got 47 days left until the start of Penn State football in 2021, and today we’re celebrating Super Bowl champ Jordan Hill.

Hill was a homegrown 3 star talent, having committed to the in-state Nittany Lions over other local programs in 2009. Having played immediately upon setting foot on campus, Hill was part of the much-vaunted 2012 team that stuck together amid sanctions and finished with a winning season. In addition to the team accolades, Hill earned individual praise in that senior season, earning all-Big Ten honors and leading the team’s defensive line in tackles with 64 (29 solo).

After that season, Hill was drafted in the third round (87th overall) by the Seattle Seahawks, and he spent three years there under Pete Carroll and winning a national championship ring in 2014.

Injuries cut short his NFL career, and Hill turned his focus to coaching; earlier this year, he was named head coach of Camp Hill’s Trinity High School.

Only 47 days to go!
