Death, taxes, OSU at the top of the power rankings

1. Ohio State

One of the few teams to actually win their bowl game, the Buckeyes finish the season on top. Though they now face a large amount of uncertainty with Urban Meyer heading off into the sunset…

2. Michigan

Laid a gigantic egg in their bowl game, but they were still the second best team in the league this season. 2019 appears to be a rebuilding year in Ann Arbor.

3. Penn State

So close to actually completing the comeback against Kentucky. Some roster turnover has people questioning 2019, but the defense should be stout, and the offense still has lots of play-makers.

4. Northwestern

Took down a solid Utah team, and will look to build on that heading into 2019 – unless Fitz decides to dabble in the NFL.

5. Iowa

Similarly, beat a good Mississippi State team, but lose a good amount of talent for next year.

6. Wisconsin

In a rematch with Miami, Wisconsin laid waste to the Hurricanes. Expect more of the same in 2019, though hopefully we can do away with the pre-season playoff expectations.

7. Minnesota

There you go Minnesota! Way to take down the triple option!

8. Michigan State

7-6 is as ugly a bowl game as you’ll see, just like green and white is as ugly a color combination as you’ll see.

9. Purdue

Wait, no, maybe a 63-14 loss to Auburn is as ugly a bowl game as you’ll see. Why is Jeff Brohm getting paid so much?

10. Nebraska

No bowls from here on out, so it’s just ¯_(ツ)_/¯. Though somehow Nebraska is getting way too early top 25 love?

11. Indiana

You’ll make a bowl next year Indiana!

12. Maryland

Could be fun under Locksley, or could continue the 3-31 train. Time will tell.

13. Illinois

I’m hoping Lovie sticks around just for his beard.

14. Rutgers

You’ll get ‘em next yea- hahahahah couldn’t finish typing that.
